Dogs will parade through downtown Chania, Crete, on Saturday morning, carrying balloons bearing animal rights slogans. The festival, organized by the Animal Welfare Association of Chania aims to inform people about animal rights and raise awareness about animal abuse.
“All dogs will have colorful balloons tied to their collars. The balloons will be a way for animals to send a message about the respect humans ought to have towards all life forms on Earth. All dog owners who will attend will receive balloons for their dogs,” said an AWAC representative.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 11 a.m.
