Travel experts recently examined Instagram hashtag data for over 50 Greek islands to establish the most popular and ‘Instagrammable’.

Celebrities, influencers, tourists and photographers have been sharing images from the Greek islands, the Greek sun, and the Aegean blue. The data were compiled by the travel agency Kinglikeconcierge.com. and were released in September 2023.

“Social media has a profound influence on people, and now has become a vital factor when researching holiday destinations,” Thanasis Mougios from Kinglikeconcierge.com said. “It is fascinating what these insights have revealed, that so many people visit Greece and absorb the culture of the islands and the people, hopefully influencing others to visit the vast number of Greek islands.”
