Recipe: Kourabiedes – Greek Christmas Sugar Cookies

In a mixer add butter (600gr), powdered sugar (100gr), and mix for 3 minutes.

In a cup with raki or vodka (25ml), add baking soda (15gr), vanilla (10 gr) stir and place in the mixer.

Then slowly add pastry flour (1kg) and mix for 5 minutes.

In the mixer add crushed baked almonds (100gr) and mix for 1 minute.

Take the dough from the mixer and place in a bowl. Shape the cookies into small spheres and place on a pan.

Bake at 200C in preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Then place the cookies in a bowl and cover in powdered sugar (1kg). Carefully mix the cookies and sugar and place on a platter. You can store in a sealed container at room temperature for a month.
