5.6 Magnitude Quake Hits off Greek Coast

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck off the southwestern coast of Greece on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake was one of the largest to strike the country this year.
USGS reports that the quake was 34 miles southwest of Kalamata, Greece. The quake was 80 miles from Zakynthos and roughly 100 miles south of Patra. Local news puts the quake 144 miles from Athens. No reports of damage have yet to be released.
