The photos of Ilias Psinakis flying over Thessaloniki in a hot-air balloon have been circulating on the internet.
As soon as the locals of Thessaloniki realized the eccentric persona’s presence in the sky, they rushed to photograph the unique way with which the mayor of Marathon decided to transport to Thessaloniki.
The Mayor of Marathon traveled to Thessaloniki in order to be present at the ceremony for the signing of the collaboration protocol between municipalities, regions and cultural institutions of Northern Greece, in order to establish the “Amfiktionia of Ancient Greek Cities.”
The purpose of this trip according to Ilias Psinakis, is to unite the ancient Greek cities, while he added that with such actions, Greece is becoming a more attractive destination for foreign investors, announcing in advance the business activity of the Chinese in the region of Marathon.
