Overnight Earthquakes Jolt Crete

Two earthquakes measuring 5.1 and 5.2 hit in the sea area east of Crete in the early hours of Monday.
The first quake hit at 03:30 between Crete and Karpathos. It was followed by the second temblor at 07:11, striking in the same area, 43 km (27 miles) east of the town of Sitia.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens the focal depth of the earthquakes was about 10 km (6 miles).
There have been no reports of damage.
