Hank Azaria Nominated For “Brockmire” At Critics’ Choice Awards

Awards season is on the horizon, and Hank Azaria has received a nomination for Best Actor for a Comedy Series for his role in the period comedy “Brockmire”.

“Brockmire”, which airs on IFC, follows a disgraced baseball announcer (Azaria) who is trying to resurrect his career and image years after a public breakdown.

Having spent a few years abroad, Azaria’s alcoholic character, Brockmire, faces many challenges re-adjusting to life as an announcer in the U.S., and leads to a lot of dark humor on the show. “Brockmire” also stars Amanda Peet and Tyrell Jackson Williams.

Azaria has received rave reviews for his performance in the show, and this nomination for a Critics’ Choice Award shows that the critics think a great deal of his work.

The 24th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards will take place on Sunday, January 13, and will be aired on The CW. Check out the full list of Critics’ Choice Awards nominations to see which other shows and actors you follow have been nominated.
