According to police reports on Monday, last week there were 45 people who were arrested in Crete for attemptingĀ to board an aircraft with fake documents.
The individuals in possession of the forged documents were arrested during checks in Iraklio, Hania and Siteia airports on Crete.
The suspects were trying to leave Crete for the destinations of Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
The arrests took place over a time period from August 13 to 19.
