Famous Greek singer Notis Sfakianakis, an outspoken Golden Dawn supporter, has openly condemned the migrant crisis in the country, following the tense situation on the island of Kos. Sfakianakis sent a letter to all relevant authorities, demanding the immediate solution of the Greek migrant issue and the protection of Greek borders, while he also asked Kos residents to sign the letter.
The famous singer noted that refugees are entering Greek borders “under the pretext of humanitarian causes” and they are “corrupting the country on a population and cultural level.” He also asked the Greek people to say “No” to those who are “violating” the country’s borders.
“To all Dodecanese parliament members, Kos Prefect, mayor, police director, port director and to all responsible authorities:
You are responsible for the unacceptable and dangerous situation, for the daily problems that the people are experiencing due to the smuggling of thousands of people in our country, under the pretext of humanitarian causes,” he wrote.
“If the people revolt (which unfortunately may soon be unavoidable) only a spark will be enough to cause an uncontrollable wildfire and the consequences will be dire.”
“Hopefully, in these last moments, you will find a way to prevent this unwanted evil,” he wrote.
