Pulse: SYRIZA Ahead of New Democracy by 3%

pulse elections surveySYRIZA has gained a 3% over New Democracy according to the results of a survey conducted by Greek poll company, Pulse.
More specifically, the main opposition party leads in an intention vote with 24% against New Democracy’s 21%. Golden Dawn came third with 9%, closely followed by ELIA and Stavros Theodorakis’ political party, To Potami, which both gathered 7% of the potential votes.
The national elections intention vote is:
SYRIZA: 24%
New Democracy: 21%
Golden Dawn: 9%
ELIA: 7%
To Potami: 7%
Communist Party (KKE): 5.5%
Independent Greeks: 3.5%
LAOS: 2%
Democratic Left: 1.5%
In the 18-59 age group, SYRIZA is in the lead, while New Democracy came in first place for people aged over 60 years old. Furthermore, PASOK (ELIA) showed a higher percentage in the age group of Greeks over 60 years old. Golden Dawn came third in the age groups of 18-59 years, and especially in ages between 18 and 44 years.
In addition, when asked who is more suitable to take over as prime minister of Greece, the option of “nobody” got the majority of votes with 38%, followed by Antonis Samaras, current prime minister, with 33% and Alexis Tsipras, leader of SYRIZA, with 26%.
