“We are all Greeks” in Austria

We-are-GreeksFor the second year in a row and wanting to send a message of solidarity to the Greek people, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Austria is organizing the Pentecost Sunday on June 23, in the historic district of the Greeks in the center of Vienna, a large solidarity event entitled, We are all Greeks. The proceeds will be donated to the charitable activities of the Church of Greece.

The event, which will take place in the Greek Quarter of Vienna and the square between the two traditional Greek Orthodox churches of the city, with a 200 year history, the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the Church of St. George, will begin after the solemn liturgy and will last until late at night offering a clearly Greek “color” including live Greek music, Greek folk dances, Greek dishes and a lottery.

This charity celebration is addressed not only to members of the Greek community, but to every Viennese, to every person of good will, who desires to give beyond every political and economic problem a message of humanity beyond all boundaries.
