Greek Super League leader PAOK Salonika saw its gap at the top of the standings cut to two points after a 2-1 defeat to Panathinaikos and Olympiacos’s 5-1 thrashing of Panthrakikos.
PAOK went 1-0 down after Abdul Ajagun (51) opened the scoring for Panathinaikos but was soon back on level terms thanks to substitute Facundo Pereyra (64) before Nikolaos Karelis (79) claimed the points for the visitor (video).
Meanwhile, second-placed Olympiacos claimed a convincing win over Panthrakikos.
A 39th-minute penalty by Alejandro Dominguez and an own goal from Thanasis Papageorgiou set Olympiacos on their way before goals from Anastasios Avlonitis (67), Dimitrios Diamantakos (84) and Konstantinos Mitroglou (90) made sure of the win.
Jose Maria Cases scored the only goal of the game for Panthrakikos from the penalty spot in the 79th minute but it proved only to be a consolation effort (video).
