On Saturday, Greek health authorities announced that 2,835 cases of COVID-19 had been diagnosed in the country over the last 24 hours and 38 people who had suffered from the virus had died.
There are currently 366 intubated patients in intensive care units around the country’s hospitals.
Friday’s figures had shown new shocking figures for Greece, with 3,038 new coronavirus cases, and a record number of 336 intubated patients.
The situation in Thessaloniki, the capital of Macedonia and Greece’s second-largest city remains critical.
