Covid-19: 436 New Cases, Seven Deaths in Greece

Greek health authorities announced that there were 436 new covid-19 cases diagnosed in the country over the last day, along with seven deaths in those who had suffered with the virus.
Of the new cases, 63 are linked to known outbreaks across the country, and 31 were identified during testing at Greeceā€™s points of entry.
In total, 23,495 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Greece since the beginning of the pandemic, including all those who have recovered from the virus. Of this total, 3,404 are associated with foreign travel and 9,525 with contact with a known case.
There are currently 86 intubated patients in intensive care units around Greece. Their median age is 68, and just 22 are women.
Of the intubated patients, 93% are over the age of 70 or suffer from preexisting conditions. A total of 245 patients have been discharged from ICUs in the country.
The seven new deaths recorded on Tuesday bring the total of deaths in the country to 469. Of those who lost their lives after suffering with the virus, 179 were women.
The median age of those who passed away with Covid-19 was 79, and 96.6% of them were over the age of 70 or had underlying health issues.
