Coronavirus Update: 306 New Cases in Greece, 100 Intubated

Greece’s National Public Health Organization announced on Saturday 306 new Covid-19 infections. Five new deaths were also recorded, while 100 people are currently intubated.
Of the 306 new coronavirus cases, 57 are associated with known outbreaks and 30 were detected following checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases since the beginning of the outbreak amounts to 22,078 (daily change + 1.4 percent), of which 55.7 percent are men.
5 new patients with Covid-19 have died, bringing the grand total to 436. The median age of patients who have died is 79 years. The number of patients in intubation is 100 (71.0 percent men).
Of the total 22,078 cases, 3,245 (14.7 percent) are considered to be related to travel from abroad, 9,002 (40.8 percent) are related to an already known case and the rest are not related to travel or any other known case or are still under investigation.
The average age of cases is 40 years (range 0 to 102 years), while the average age of deceased is 79 years (range 25 to 102 years).
