Mykonos has traditionally been one of the Greek islands where thousands of Athenians and city-dwellers from other parts of Greece have descended for Easter celebrations. But this will clearly not be the case this year.
As the country is under lockdown, the cosmopolitan island is nearly deserted. Bars and restaurants are shut, few people walk on the streets and churches are no-go areas for the faithful.
Liturgies are taking place behind closed doors and are relayed by speakers to the residents of main town and the villages in the island.
