Turkey Announces Naval Exercise in the Aegean on Monday

Turkish warships

Turkey announced a 4-hour naval exercise in the Aegean for Monday, to take place in international waters south of Rhodes and east of Karpathos.
Only days after the outcry caused in the East Mediterranean region by the signing of a Turkey-Libya Memorandum of Understanding regarding the maritime borders between the two countries, Ankara proceeded with scheduling a naval exercise close to the two Greek islands.
Turkey has issued a navigation warning, declaring the area off-limits to ships.
