Greece, Bulgaria, FYROM, Albania Meeting Kicks Off in Thessaloniki


The Foreign and Development Ministers of Greece, Albania, Bulgaria and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) will open a two-day meeting in the city of Thessaloniki on Thursday evening to discuss cross-border collaboration in the area.
Greece’s Alternate Foreign Minister, George Katrougalos, will host a dinner for Bulgarian and FYROM Foreign Ministers Ekaterina Zakharieva and Nikola Dimitrov, respectively, and Albanian Deputy Minister Artemisa Dralo.
Economy and Development Ministers of each country will also attend the meeting, which has been an initiative of the Greek Foreign Ministry.
According to diplomatic sources, the 4th Ministerial meeting will examine the recent developments in the region in connection with EU accession prospect of the countries of the western Balkans. The economic regional cooperation, the growth and the economic integration of the Balkans will also be discussed.
