As the daughter of a famous pageant queen (played by Jennifer Aniston), Willowdean Dickson (Danielle Macdonald) feels a lot of pressure regarding her appearance and rebels by deciding she will compete in a pageant regardless of her plus-size appearance.
The title of the movie comes from Aniston’s nickname for her movie daughter, “dumplin'”.
