Zoran Zaev Thanks Greece's Tsipras from the European Parliament (Video)

At the first ever speech made by a Prime Minister of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in the plenary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Zoran Zaev thanked the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras about the Prespa Agreement. He added that both sides made compromises but now a new road of cooperation opens in the region, without the obstacles of the past 25 years.
Mr Zaev said that now his country has an amazing opportunity that it will not miss and noted that he is pleased that he is the first FYROM Prime Minister to address the European Parliament speaking in his own language.
Regarding the issue of the upcoming Referendum of September 30, Mr Zaev said that his country lays in the middle of a crossroad but its citizens will make the right decision.
“Macedonians, Albanians, Vlachs, Turks and everyone who lives in my country want to join the EU. The percentage of the population that is in favor of our EU membership is more than 75 percent. We feel European, we are European,” Mr Zaev said.
