British Tourist Dies in Water Sport Accident While Visiting Kefalonia

A 56-year-old British national was killed on Tuesday while partaking in water sports at Makris Yalos on the island of Kefalonia.
According to the coast guard, the man and two friends were on a towable tube pulled by a speed boat when, during speedboat maneuvers, the man lost his balance and slammed onto his friends, losing consciousness.
An EKAV ambulance arrived at the beach and took the man to hospital. Authorities are waiting for the autopsy report that will shed light at the cause of death but initial reports say the tourist may have suffered a heart attack. The other two British nationals are well in their health.
The 37-year-old speed boat captain was arrested but may be released by the prosecutor later.
