Greece’s creditors have sent Athens an e-mail asking for clarifications regarding the social aid measures taken by Athens, with the answer to be sent before Christmas, according to the Athens News Agency.
According to the report, government officials estimate that Athens will give the assurance that the measures will not affect the bailout program objectives and that the program is binding. The European Stability Mechanism is asking for specific answers to specific questions regarding the government’s commitment.
Along these lines, the government officials express the optimism that Greece’s response will be satisfactory and creditors will lift the block on short-term debt relief measures and close the second bailout program review.
