“It was all Greece – I was looking at the Minoan civilization and doing it in a way that I feel is very genuine to me – not to shy away from print, not to shy away from graphics, nor from silhouettes I’ve done before. I wanted to keep it very true to what it is,” she told Vogue magazine.
In her latest collection, she incorporates different styles of geometry, architecture and classic vase patterns that are familiar to the eye as well as ancient Greek art such as chariots, mythical creatures and warriors.
Her colorful and intricate designs highlight the best of Greek civilization and demonstrate the pride of the Greek-born designer’s native home.
