A Syrian refugee has been hospitalized after being stabbed in the thigh during a quarrel at the Polykastro refugee camp near Thessaloniki.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, when during an argument with a group of migrants – who are thought to be of Kurdish origin – the Syrian refugee was stabbed at the accomodation center of Polykastro.
The victim is being hospitalized at a stable condition in Kilkis Hospital, while the perpetrators are being searched.
The refugee camp in Polykastro is one of several new facilities that were created in order to host the refugees and migrants who were evacuated from Idomeni since last week.
