No Refugees and Migrants Arrived at Pireaus on Tuesday; 5,600 Still Remain at the Port

Pireaus_migrantsThe inflow of refugees and migrants to the port of Piraeus, Greece, has been reduced since the two ferries “Ariadni” and “blue star 1” docked earlier in the morning on Tuesday carrying no refugee from the islands of Aegean Sea.
According to the Port Authorities, after yesterday night’s counting, the number of the refugees and migrants settled in the arrangements provided for them at the port’s facilities rose to 5,600, from 5,467 yesterday. Volunteers and Aid Organizations estimated that some of the refugees must have returned to Piraeus from accommodation centers elsewhere.
Numerous refugees and migrants still remain in tents within the premises of the Piraeus Port Organization, since the passenger stations and the other buildings are already jam-packed with people.
