Democratic Left (DIMAR) deputy Niki Founta on Tuesday sent a letter to the Parliament President notifying him of her decision to resign from DIMAR parliamentary group and become an independent deputy.
“The deputy’s political stance and beliefs have been significantly different, for over a year now, from the party’s central line,” a statement said, adding that this was a difficult but necessary decision for reason of political and personal consistency.
