Virtual Exploration of Acropolis

170020-acropolis-greeceAn application by the Committee for Conservation of the Acropolis Monuments and Acropolis Restoration Service allows a virtual tour in  Greece’s most important monument, the Acropolis.
The virtual tour of Acropolis consists of high-resolution pictures and panoramas of important Greek monuments such as the Parthenon, the Propylaia, the Erechtheion and the Temple of Athena Nike as well as detailed photographic displays of selected views from the outer surface of the ancient walls. Each view is accompanied with descriptive information about the ancient monuments.
The application allows the users to zoom onto the features of the monuments, which is difficult to experience during a typical on site visit. The users can create their own virtual tour by selecting the viewpoints they want.
