Beautiful and historic Rhodes was chosen to host the “Queen Ukraine 2014” competition, following the current political situation in Kiev. The 18 stunning young ladies that took part asked the world to pray for the future of their country and people.
The title was given to 17-year-old Anna Sapenga, a young woman from Crimea, who found it very difficult to get to Rhodes because of the riots that are currently taking place in the area. Anna charmed the judges with her classic beauty features, blonde hair, blue eyes and ideal body measures. Greek designer Charis Tsiaras of Nikos-Takis fashion house sat at the committee.
The event was televised live by four different Ukrainian channels and took place in one of the most famous hotels in Rhodes, Greece. The new Queen Ukraine was crowned by last year’s winner, Anastasia Sukh, who had also won a title in the Miss Earth 2012 completion, a pageant that promotes environmental awareness.
