The new Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, Christina Simantirakis, expressed her certainty that the new intergovernmental agreement with Australia which will allow young people aged between 18 and 20 years to travel between the two countries to live and work for up to twelve months will be signed very soon.
“As far as Greece is concerned, all procedures have been completed and the Greek government is planning on making certain announcements very soon,” she said.
She also mentioned that she is determined to improve the services of the Consulate General in Melbourne. “Improving the services is my main focus at the moment,” she said, adding: “This way we will improve and strengthen the confidence Greek citizens show to the consulate as well as the Greek state, which we represent.”
Christina Simantirakis said that one of her main concerns, is to find a way to improve the Greek Consulate’s website.
