Schaeuble Says EUR11 Billion for Greece Isn't Unrealistic – Report

German Finance Minister Wolfgang SchaeubleThe International Monetary Fund estimate that Greece needs an extra EUR11 billion ($14.7 billion) as part of a possible third bailout package is at a realistic level, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said in an newspaper interview published Tuesday.
“I also know these figures and they don΄t seem to be completely unrealistic,” Mr. Schaeuble is quoted as saying by daily Rheinische Post.
Schaeuble made headlines last week when he said Greece would need a third bailout package once the current rescue plan expires at the end of next year to prevent insolvency. So far, Athens has been awarded a combined EUR246 billion in international aid loans from a troika consisting of the International Monetary Fund, the European Union and the European Central Bank.
