Greek Market Ends Down by Political Strife

ASE_down2Greek stocks tumble 6.1% on Friday weighed down by political strife as the junior partner in Greece΄s ruling coalition, Democratic Left, says it΄s quitting the government over the closure of state broadcaster ERT.
Athens΄ benchmark equity index has now lost around 28% from the 1159.97 high of May 20. Losses are hefty across the board Friday with PPC down 10%, Hellenic Petroleum off 8.3%, OTE 6.4% lower and OPAP 5.2% adrift.
On the board the General Index ends 6.11% lower at 830.01.
