Imagine the City: Corinth 2013 Exhibit

imageThe vοlunteer group Diolki has organized an exhibition entitled Imagine the City: Corinth 2013. The event, which runs from June 14-23 ,will take place at the municipal market of the city of Corinth, in Corinthia region, Peloponnese, Greece.
The exhibition includes more than 50 studies of students, individuals and public organizations of the region, such as the Municipality of Corinth, the Regional Authority of Corinth, the Chamber of Commerce of Corinth, the Ephorates of Antiquities and other.
The exhibit passes from the heritage of the reconstruction in the 1930’s, to the public buildings and suggestions for the solution of the city’s issues, to the big empty spaces, to the extended archaeological sites, but also to the monuments themselves, and to the  rehabilitation of neighborhoods and to futuristic ideas.
The number and the variety of the studies reveal a wide field of discussion and interaction between the residents and the local authorities, which is the goal of this initiative.
During the exhibition, three nights will be dedicated to the discussion of particular topics. Groups and associations of Corinth will carry out artistic activities that will include music, dance and painting, in order to present their ideas for the city, and the public space.
