Sinodinos Swears Allegiance to Greek Name

SinodinosSunday’s Telegraph full page report ranked Greek-Australian Senator Arthur Sinodinos first among rising politicians, whose party will either win or lose in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking on the radio program Greeks Today, he strongly stated that he would never change his Greek name to  Anglo-Saxon, in order to gain easier access to higher political posts or for any other reason, because that would actually mean denial of his Greek origin of which he is very proud.

The spontaneous and sincere statement of Synodinos, who was born in Australia and has lived his whole life there, impressed the radio’s audience. It is also worth mentioning that Sinodinos had for many years been Chief of Staff to the then Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard.
