Olympics Athens 2004 Opening Ceremony Revived in Canberra

The Hellenic Club of Canberra calls on Greeks and Aussies to relive the amazing opening night of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.

Occasioned by the upcoming London Olympics, Greeks of Canberra call everyone to watch and remember the magic night of the opening ceremony at the Games’ birthplace.

More than 10,500 athletes participated in the Athens Olympics eight years ago while the Greek capital was itself basking in the glory of its aeon-old heritage.

The Hellenic Club of Canberra presents every last Sunday of each month a Greek movie with English subtitles, so that everyone will be able to understand the film.

On Sunday 29 July, many people, reminiscent of this night, will attend the Aegean Room of the Hellenic Club of Canberra at Matilda Street, Woden at 3:00 pm to enjoy this movie with other fellow citizens.
