"Troika" Postpone Mission to Athens

Greece’s international lenders called off a mission to Athens on Sunday, only hours before they were due to arrive – because the new prime minister and finance minister were both still in hospital.
The delay highlights the paralysis of Greece’s new government in the face of calls from the EU and International Monetary Fund to hasten reforms – even as Athens appears poised to reject the most pressing of these demands and ask for more time to meet targets.
The visit by the EU, ECB and IMF “troika” overseeing Greece’s €174bn bailout “has been postponed and new dates have not yet been set,” the IMF said. A Greek official said July 2nd was a possible next date for the mission.
