Families with Three Dependents in Corinth Express Desperation About Their Taxes

Six hundred desperate families with three children or more in the District of Corinth tried to find a meaningful way to send a message of discontent to the Greek state. Having been repeatedly “attacked” by the government’s tax invasive measures, the families have decided to express their complaints about the undue burden of their tax load to the Tax Service itself.
Engaging in symbolic activity, 600 large families marched to the Tax Office of Corinth and included their children in their tax files on the section referring to deductions, indicating that raising them is reason enough not to pay so many taxes.
Parents with several dependents protested against the devastating taxation imposed on them over the last three years. They complained about the fact that their quality of life has dramatically diminished, making them unable to cover their children’s needs.
