On Saturday, thousands people arrived at the Bicentennial Park where the Greek Glenti took place.  Chief Minister of the Northern Territory could not escape from meeting the Greeks of the area. But not only did he deliver the welcoming speech to greet the enthused audience, but he even pitched in serving participants at one the festivals many food stands.

Darwin is home to thousands Greeks from Kalymnos island. But apparently a variety of  Greeks from other regions  have moved to Australia in recent years. The Greek community has promised to organize the festival next year as well since the Greek Glenti has transformed into  a sort of annual tradition for the area.
