Athens Stock Exchange Ended at Lowest Level Since 1992

Under the pressure of political instability, the General Index of Athens Stock Exchange dropped 4.5% at the end of the week in an almost 20 year low.
November 27, 1992 was the last time the General Index closed below the level of 594.53 points. Market professionals believe that the market in the short-term market depends entirely on the political developments.
Beta Security notes “the substance of the political landscape which is the starting point of the trend has not changed significantly to warrant a change in attitude, at least for the foreseeable future and therefore would maintain the conservative profile moves in the domestic market.”
The General panel ended at 611.96 points dropping 4.52% with 43.66 million pieces volume and the value of transactions stood at 147.32 million.
