A spokesman for the European Commission says a conference call between Greece’s finance minister and the country’s international debt inspectors ended Monday night without a decision on whether the inspectors would return to Athens.
Greece was trying to convince officials from the Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund that it could meet strict budget targets promised in return for a 110 billion bailout.
Commission spokesman Amadeu Altafaj Tardio said another call was set for Tuesday evening.
