Police Arrest Robber Fleeing to Italy!

Right before departure, police arrested a 25-year-old Croatian who, after having robbed a store in Keffalonia, had boarded a ship to Italy.
Police caught the young criminal during a regular stop-over at Igoumenitsa.
The Croatian, having made a hole in the partition wall through the adjoining utility room, entered the store and attempted to break into the safe, grabbing cash and equipment worth 3,500 euros!
After achieving his mission, he fled to Patras, where he boarded a ship to Italy, but the traces he left behind, helped police identify him and sound an alarm to local authorities.
When it was found that he was on board, authorities at Igoumenitsa’s port were informed and waited for him.
The offender was arrested and a stolen 1,500 euros, lap top computer, digital camera, credit card and a mobile phone were found in his possession and returned to their owners. The young offender, who was illegal in the country, was led to the Prosecutor of Keffalonia.
