Two new polls publicized on Tuesday, show the main opposition New Democracy (ND) party leading in vote preferences.
The GPO poll for Mega Channel showed ND leading the ruling PASOK party by 0.9 %, garnering 21 % of preferences compared to 20.1 % for PASOK. The poll by Real fm, presented by the Alter channel, showed ND leading PASOK by 1.7 %, receiving 21.3 % of the vote as against 19.6 %for PASOK.
Mega’s poll shows the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) receiving 9.2 %, the Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) 6.5 %, the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) 4 %, the Ecologists-Greens 2.1 %, the Democratic Alliance 2 % and the Democratic Left 3 %.
The second poll shows the following percentages for the rest of the parties: KKE 7.6 %, LAOS 5.1 %, SYRIZA 3.1 %, Democratic Alliance 2.4 %, Democratic Left 2.3 % and Ecologists-Greens 2.3 %.
