Both Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines will appeal to European courts against European Commission’s Competition Committee ruling, which banned the proposed merger of the two companies, according to a statement.
Olympic Air announced that it will cut routes to London, Paris, Vienna and Brussels as part of a reorganization.
It will increase domestic flights and maintain or expand services to Amsterdam, Belgrade, Bucharest, Cairo, Istanbul, Larnaca, Sofia and Tirana.
Olympic Air aims to become a dominant airline in southeastern Europe, according to its announcement.
