The turnout of the Greek community exceeded all expectations at “Alexi Zorbas” theatrical play by Nikos Kazantzakis. It was performed by the City Theatre Group of Ierapetra in New York and Boston. It was attended by over 1,300 members of the Greek community. A total of five performances were held following an invitation of the Cretan Cultural Association of New York “Minos”, in collaboration with the director of the theatrical group, Antonis Diamantis and with the President of The Cultural Crete, USA Foundation, Manolis Velivassakis. Cretan Associations in Boston “Radamanthys Idi” and Cosmos FM 91.5 also collaborated.
