“Greece is everywhere and the Greek artists and creators are an important part of our modern culture” underlines Afroditi Panagiotakou, Vice-director and Head of Communications of the Cultural Center of the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation.
Mrs. Panagiotakou met Greek-American artists, professors and journalists in New York in order to inform them for the Center’s mission, for its interference in the cultural events of our country and for the relations that it wants to develop with the Greeks of Diaspora.
“The creation of this Culture Center is one of the most important initiatives. It is a private initiative that comes from a historic foundation that has a significant participation in culture. The Cultural Center will be housed in a new building in Siggrou Avenue, that is of great architectonic interest” said Mrs. Panagiotakou.
“The Center will host cultural events of Letters and Art. I would like to note that we will have a close collaboration with with the subsidiary foundation in New York with interesting events for the American audience”.
According to Mrs. Panagiotakou, the opening of the Cultural Center will be next November, with an international conference in which famous authors, professors and intellectuals from all over the world will participate.
