At 14:20 a forest fire broke out in Argostoli, Kefalonia. According to recent information the region is called “Minies” and 3 vehicles as well as 9 firemen attained immediately.
Furthermore, at 12:00p.m a fire broke out in Vasilikos, near Xalkida, in Evoia. 27 firemen attempt with 9 vehicles to quench the fire! Efforts are also made by two aircrafts in both places as well as by helicopters.
Every summer some of the most beautiful places in Greece are burnt by conflagrations. Let’s hope that this nightmare will not recur this year.
