Every year, an international exhibition of food takes place in the Javits Centre of Manhattan. As always, companies from Greece and Cyprus also participate in this exhibition.
In the exhibition, 21 Greek and 20 Cypriot companies present their products as well as the Prefecture of Heraklio (Crete). The major products promoted are dairy products, olives and oil.
The Greek participation in the exhibition is supported by the Greek Export organization. Nandia Rodogianni, the organization’s director was very satisfied by the Greek participation. She also said that “We have seen that many visitors are highly interested in the greek products and I believe that we will have satisfactory results”.
The office of the general Consulate of Greece in New York also helped the Greek participation in the exhibition. In America, the Greeks living there absorb the Greek products while there is also the perspective of a further increase in the demand.
