The Hellenic Scholarship Foundation in a ceremony at the hall of the University of McGill, awarded on Saturday, February 22, eleven scholarships to the excelling Greek students of the universities of Quebec.
The President of the foundation, John Hadjinicolaou mentioned the 25-year course of the organization, which “based on objective and academic criteria, rewards young scientists of the Greek Canadian community who have excelled in their studies.”
The scholarships of 2,000 dollars each, were awarded as follows:
Eftixia Andreadaki, postgraduate student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Montreal,-Cretans’ Association of Montreal Scholarship
Dimitra Argyropolos, Kindergarten and Elementary Education at the University of McGill-Vasilios Tsiolis Foundation Scholarship
Angelos Georgiou, postgraduate student in Ancient Greek Philosophy at the University of Montreal-Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal Scholarship
Katerina Korola, Art and Cinema Department at the Concordia University- Hellenic Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal Scholarship
Katerina Patouris, Modern Greek Language and Literature Department at the Universityy of McGill-Guy Ouellette – MNA Chomedey-Laval Scholarship
Paul Rozakis, Kinesiology Department at the University of McGill-Lazaros Kalipolidis Family Scholarship
Evangelia Theodosopoulos, Medical School of the University of McGill-Hellenic Medical Association of Quebec Scholarship
Niove Chaitas, Biomedical doctoral student at the University of Montreal-Constantina N. Frangouli Scholarship
Vasilios Pallikaras, Psychology Department at the Concordia University-Gerry Sklavounos – MNA Laurier-Dorion Scholarship
Emmanuel Papanagiotou, Mechanical Engineering Department at the Concordia University-Sam and Mary Charalambakis Scholarship
