The first “ultra Car,” which is called “Chaos” and is entirely made in Greece, was launched on Monday by designer and automotive engineer Spyros Panopoulos.

Panopoulos not only to launched the first 100% Greek supercar, but also aspires to introduce to the world a whole new category of high-performance vehicle: the “ultra car.”

First ultra car on the planet

Panopoulos told CarScoops that his company has just opened the books for what he described as “the first ultra car on the planet” having already secured their first order with the first delivery, scheduled for early 2022.

Chaos which delivers up to 3,065 horsepower accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 1.55 seconds and from 100-200 km/h in another 1.7 seconds. It has a top speed of 500 km/h (310 miles/h).This makes it even faster than the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and the electric hyper car Rimac Nevera.

Panopoulos applied all the know-how he acquired from his numerous innovations in Drag Racing races in the evolution of the vehicle.

After studying computer programming and the development of applied solutions, and having tuning and racing experience from a very young age, Panopoulos now runs the Athens-based company Panopoulos Automotive that specializes in the design and production of high-specification performance parts with cutting-edge internal combustion engine technology.

“Since we have manufactured many performance car parts for a diversity of production cars, such as Lamborghinis and McLarens, we came up with the idea to create our own designed and produced car which will have all these parts, and will be a vehicle completed by us in its entirety,” Panopoulos told Greek Reporter recently.

“There have been many failures behind our successes, as we strived to find what works best. Because we manufacture all our car parts ourselves, the way to make them is of utmost importance for the outcome. It takes so much time to reach the end result every time, as all our efforts, all these years, were purely our own, based on our own research and with our own machinery, to get this far.”

The first original model that Panopoulos brought to life is named after the ancient Greek word chaos, which signifies a pre-cosmogony abyss. Thanks to its never-before-seen horsepower of 3000 and other breakthrough specifications and features, it will be a game-changer for the international automotive scene — something beyond even a hypercar.

“‘Chaos’ is not a racing car; it is a city car, a car for everyday, only with more sophisticated performance. We want it to be suitable for the everyday commute and for all categories of drivers, as it will be easy to configure for use anywhere between 500 and 3000 horses,” he explained.

He also explained that the Chaos will be street legal, priced from around €5.5 million ($6.4 million) for the base 2,000 hp variant, up to €12.4 million ($14.4 million) for the full-spec 3,000 hp model.
