A child has passed away and six people are missing after a small boat carrying 24 refugees capsized off the coast of the Greek island of Samos on Sunday morning.
The Hellenic Coast Guard recovered the child’s body in the Aegean Sea on Sunday and rescued eleven people who were in the water, including a pregnant woman.
Later in the day, six more people from that vessel were located and rescued by the Hellenic Coast Guard.
As the boat originally carried 24 people, there remains a total of six people still missing after the tragic event.
