Greece Announces 33 New Coronavirus Cases in Country; One New Death

 

A total of thirty-three new coronavirus cases and one death were registered in Greece on Thursday, raising the total number of infections to 4,110 and the number of fatalities to 201, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) reported on Thursday. Of this total 50.4 % have been male, according to the EODY.
Of the total, 1,144, or 27.8 percent relate to travel abroad, 2,072, or 50.4 percent, to already known cases and the rest are of unknown origin.
Another eight individuals are currently on life support in ICUs across Greece, of whom one is a woman; the average age of these Covid-19 victims is 58 years and 75 percent of them have underlying health issues or are aged 70 or older.
One hundred twenty-five individuals so far have been successfully released from ICU units across the country since the beginning of the outbreak.
The median age of all those who currently suffer from Covid-19  is 47 years and the average age of all the deceased is 76 years. Of the total of 201 fatalities, just 66 were women, while 96 percent faced underlying health issues or were aged 70 or older.
Of the 33 new cases on Thursday, the majority were identified at the country’s entry points (10), and in the Attica region (11) and Thessaloniki region (4).
